In the article "A Tutor's Quandry", the author tries to examine when and if it is okay to use deceitful fiction in a non-fiction form of writing. After reading the article think about if and when you feel it is okay to do this. From there, apply the idea to plagiarism and as Writing Center consultants, on both the college and high school level, what should one do when faced with a known plagiarized paper?

In Barbara Bird's article, "Rethinking our View on Learning,"she discusses the need and benefit of deep thinking on writing center clients. She makes a persuasive argument that the qualities of deep thinking can help improve our writers, not just the writing they come in with. To do that, we must consider the following: How can we make deep thinking a more explicit part of OUR process?
